'Don't Make Me Wait' was the first single from the Caribbean influenced album '44/876', which Sting & Shaggy collaboratively released in 2018. Sharing a mutual love of the rhythms, lyrics and melodies of the West Indies, they were a natural pairing, basing the album's title on the country-calling-codes of their home nations - the United Kingdom and Jamaica. The track debuted at a charity concert for over 20,000 people in Jamaica and went on to chart around the world, with ’44/876’ winning 'Best Reggae Album' at the 61st Grammy Awards.
